Police in Australia discovered 1.5 tonnes of illicit tobacco worth an estimated A$1.5m ($1.1m) in Sydney last week.
The operation – by New South Wales specialised organised crime unit Strike Force Raptor – revealed 73 boxes of tobacco after a raid at an industrial unit on Fairfield Street, Fairfield, in the south west of the city.
The tobacco was seized for further analysis, said NSW police in a statement, and inquiries are continuing with no arrests made at this stage.
