$7m in counterfeit Cartier, Rolex goods seized in Ohio

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in Cincinnati, Ohio seized three shipments of fake jewellery and watches worth an estimated street value of nearly $7m earlier this month.
The first shipment originated from Hong Kong, and was destined to a private residence in Richmond, Virginia. Although it had a declared value of $319, the package held 275 assorted Cartier Love bracelets, which if genuine would have been worth almost $3.3m.
A second shipment was found to contain 385 yellow gold Cartier bracelets and 115 white gold Cartier bracelets worth $3.2 million, while a third contained 13 fake Rolex watches, 10 Cosmograph Daytona and three Yacht Master II, altogether valued at around $405,000. The letter two shipments also originated from Hong Kong.
