Dulles CBP seizes $207k in counterfeit designer caps

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers have seized 450 counterfeit designer baseball caps at Washington Dulles International Airport, that if authentic, would have been worth more than $200,000.

The officers inspected two shipments of designer brand name hats March 18. The shipments contained 250 and 200 hats, respectively, and included copies of Gucci, Chanel, LV Supreme, Y-3 Adidas and Louis Vuitton products. Officers suspected the hats to be counterfeit and detained both shipments.

The larger shipment arrived from China and was destined to an address in Centerville, Virginia. The second shipment shipped from Hong Kong and was destined to an address in Manassas Park, Virginia.
