UK police nab Euro 2020 counterfeit seller

Thousands of counterfeit football shirts worth £80,000 ($112,000) were seized during a raid at a property in London, UK, on the eve of the postponed Euro 2020 finals, which got underway on Friday June 11.

Officers from the City of London Police's Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU) made the seizure at the home address and storage facility of a 19-year-old male, and believe the shorts were being sold through both retail and wholesale channels.

One man was arrested and has since been released under investigation, according to a PIPCU statement.
