Brief: Cosmetics firm warns of fake brush sets
Staff reporter, 13-Oct-2015
Cosmetics firm Missame says consumers should be aware that fake versions of its brushes are being sold via online marketplaces.
The Californian company notes that low-quality knock-offs of its products are being sold on sites such as eBay and Amazon by unauthorised individuals. While the company has an Amazon storefront, it does not sell any of its products via eBay, according to its founder Amy Ng.
"Consumers need to ensure that the list price is the one provided for official Missame products, and that the products are purchased through our official Amazon product listing page," she said, adding that the company is planning to set up its own e-commerce site to help the public choose authentic items.
