Health and wellness company Limitless X has launched a series of legal actions against entities that it accuses of counterfeiting products it markets on behalf of brand partners through various online platforms.
The fast-growing direct response marketing company has estimated that some counterfeiters may be generating revenues of more than $1m per month by illegally copying brands that it markets under license, including dietary supplements NZT-48, Oneshot Keto and Divatrim.
Recently appointed new chief executive Jas Mathur said the legal actions are targeting sales of counterfeit versions of the products through online marketplaces “such as Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and others.”
The counterfeiters exploit the success of the trademark and brand identity to sell unauthorised replicas, often illegally replicating the labelling with unapproved packaging, said Limitless in a statement today.
“Limitless’ products are formulated with…high-quality ingredients and proprietary formulas that have been tested and built for our customers’ needs and their lifestyles,” said Mathur.
“Protecting our brands and customers is paramount to our company,” he added. “Counterfeiters not only pose a threat to our company but also to our clients and we will not tolerate such malicious behaviour. We are determined to hold bad actors accountable and will take appropriate actions to do so.”
Last year, Limitless added to its range and went public by acquiring Bio Lab Naturals, and now represents more than 20 brands across health and wellness, beauty and skincare and the cannabidiol (CBD) categories. That deal also brought in Prime Time Live, a Denver-based company that provides clients with high-resolution mobile LED screens for entertainment, corporate, civic, and sporting events.
