Danaher completes takeover of Laetus
Phil Taylor, 07-Dec-2015
US industrial technologies group Danaher has completed the acquisition of Coding and track-and-trace specialist Laetus GmbH from Italy's Coesia.
Laetus will operate as an independent business within Danaher's product identification platform unit, which also includes businesses such as Esko, Xrite, Pantone, Wolke, Videojet, Linx and FOBA and had revenues of $1.6bn in 2014, growing in the mid-single digit range.
In a statement, Laetus said the change of ownership will "significantly enhance Laetus' growth opportunities through increased scale and access to complementary capabilities." News of the acquisition was first reported by SecuringIndustry.com in October.
Alex Lever - who has just been appointed managing director of Laetus - said the takeover will "strengthen our existing solution offerings through continued investment in research and development while benefitting from Danaher’s established software capabilities and global presence."
