Brief: Russian thieves steal... sand?

Violent thieves stole a truck carrying industrial-grade sand in Shchapovo, Moscow Oblast, after threatening the driver with a knife, reports FreightWatch.

The case - which comes straight out of the 'they'll steal anything' file - criminals used a vehicle to force the driver of the truck to stop. They then threatened him at knifepoint, stole the loaded truck, and made their escape. The theft is valued at €30,000, according to an update from the security specialist. Moscow police are investigating the incident.
