Health Canada recalls hazardous USB chargers

Health Canada has initiated a recall of substandard, knock-off USB chargers that pose a risk of shock, burn or fire.

The regulatory said it recently completed testing on a number of USB chargers that plug into an electrical outlet intended for use with cell phones, tablets and other devices as part of a planned national compliance and enforcement project.

It has just published a list of uncertified, and in some cases counterfeit products found to pose an unacceptable risk, available here.
