Brief: Four charged for 'moving truck' thefts in Belarus

Four people have been arrested in Belarus in connection with a series of cargo thefts from moving trucks.

Police in Minsk made the arrests after a long investigation into thefts carried out on the M1 highway between Brest, Minsk, and the Russian border, according to a FreightWatch report.

Using a specially modified vehicle, the thieves boarded moving vehicles and repeatedly transfered items from the trucks to their car. They have been charged with thefts targeting chemicals, cosmetics, and foodstuffs valued at €11m over a two-year period.

Some goods were recovered at the residences of the individuals arrested, says FreightWatch.
