The FDA has scheduled three day-long virtual meetings on its proposed rule to introduce additional ‘farm to fork’ traceability for certain high-risk foods.
The online meetings are scheduled for:
- November. 6: 8:30 to 16:30 ET;
- November 18: 9:30 to 17:30 ET; and
- December 2: 11:30 to 19:30 ET.
The proposed rule aims to establish additional traceability recordkeeping requirements “beyond what is already required in existing regulations,” according to the agency.
It applies to soft cheeses, eggs, various fresh fruit and vegetables including ready-to-eat salads, as well as some types of fish and seafood like lobster and oysters.
