A man who pleaded guilty to selling counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl has received a 15-year jail sentence.
Trevon Antone Lucas of Highland, California, admitted he was responsible for the death of a La Jolla in June 2018 after posting online advertisements for the illegal sale of prescription drugs, despite being warned about the danger of the pills he was selling on two separate occasions.
According to the Department of Justice, Lucas was heard that the counterfeit oxycodone had caused the overdose of a San Diego resident, but continued to sell the illicit ‘blues’ regardless.
Three other people, Cenclair Marie Fields, Kevin Vandale Chandler and Donovan Adontas Carter also pleaded guilty in the case and have been sentenced.
