Brief: Systech expands partnership with Servicepoint
, 17-Dec-2015
Systech and Servicepoint have agreed to work together on serialization projects in Finland, Estonia, Sweden and Russia, expanding an existing collaboration.
Under the terms of the agreement, Finland-based industrial automation company Servicepoint will become Systech's representative and system integration partner in those markets. The two companies started working together on a pharma serialization project a year ago.
The two companies said the market for serialization is growing "exponentially", as over the next three years 15,000 production lines for prescription medicines in Europe will have to be upgraded to meet the requirements of the Falsified Medicines Directive, which will become mandatory in all EU countries by 2019.
Systech recently expanded its capabilities in brand protection with the launch of UniSecure, a fingerprinting technology for printed materials such as barcodes that can be used to authenticate products.
