The Cambodia Counter Counterfeit Committee (CCCC) has seized more than six tonnes of counterfeit Black Sheep brand body lotion being made in a large-scale production unit in Kandal province that is suspected of using child labour.
The CCCC uncovered the facility in a raid earlier this month at locations in Bek Chan Commune, Srok District, according to the Phnom Penh Post, which said the lotion was being made "without a license and used different pharmaceutical ingredients to the genuine product range."
Last year, the CCCC brought 140 cases against criminals involved in trafficking illegal medicinal products, alcohol, tobacco, cosmetics, and consumer goods. It was set up in 2014 to fight rampant trade in counterfeit goods in the country.
