Couple accused of selling fake Botox at Florida clinic

An FDA investigation has resulted in the arrest of two people who allegedly sold fake versions of Allergan’s wrinkle treatment Botox and other cosmetic therapies.
Jorge Nogueira and Jessyka Molina – who ran a company called Therapmedic via a clinic in Miami – were arrested last month and face charges of trafficking contraband prescription drugs, fraud, practicing a health care profession without a license.
It is the third action against fake beauty injections in Florida in the last year, according to the Partnership for Safe Medicines, a public health group committed to the safety of prescription drugs and protecting consumers against counterfeit, substandard or otherwise unsafe medicines.
