Hague expands into Australian market

UK security printing specialist Hague has opened an office in Sydney as part of an expansion into the Australian market.
The company - which provides holograms, security labels and document security technology as well as other services - also said it has set up a new division - Hague Australia Pty - which will be headed by Mike Wheble.
Hague also operates an office in Melbourne and is already working with academic institutions, government agencies and retailers across Australia, according to the company, which said it has "a strong reputation, particularly in the higher education sector [offering] highly secure certificates and electronic document validation."
International expansion has been a focus for West Yorkshire-based Hague for some years, and the business has also started to build a presence in Canada, New Zealand and East Africa.
Hague Australia will be specifically focussing on brand protection and security print solutions and intends to establish a technology solutions division focusing on "education, retail, government and healthcare markets," including pharmaceuticals.
Wheble will be supported in the development of the Australian business by consultant Simon Hayward, a security printing specialist who has been working in the Australian market for 10 years.
