Management shuffle at T Ray Science
Phil Taylor, 05-Feb-2010
The chief technology officer of Canadian company T Ray Sciences, Dr. Daryoosh Saeedkia, has left the company. No reasons were given for Saeedkia's departure, and he did not respond to SecuringPharma.com's request for comment.
Vancouver-based T Ray Science is developing a drug authentication technology based on TeraHertz radiation and raised $1.4m in an initial public offering last month. The firm is also looking at the potentially of the technology as an imaging approach for skin cancer.
The company has also appointed former Eli Lilly and Cardinal Health executive Tom Walker as its senior vice president of business development, while current board member Karen Boodram will take on the role as a consultant to help T Ray develop the skin cancer imaging device.
Boodram was formerly a life sciences analyst with PI Financial and prior to that worked for Novartis Pharmaceuticals as director of external affairs.
