Staff reporter, 12-Dec-2014
Frequentz has named Lew Kontnik - formerly Amgen's director of supply chain security and serialisation - as its strategic advisor.
Kontnik - who also holds the role of co-chair of the GS1 Global Healthcare Initiative and also works on RX-360's Traceability Architecture Work Group- will help Frequentz "direct its offerings to meet changing regulatory requirements and expand its services to enhance client value realisation," according to a company press release.
He will work closely with recent additions Greg Seremetis, Frequentz' chief marketing officer, and John Schultz, the firm's senior vice president of sales, both of which are recent additions to the management team.
The demand for track and trace solutions is rapidly growing beyond life sciences to new categories such as seafood and consumer packaged goods," commented Frequentz chief executive Charlie Sweat.
"With Lew's broad experience creating internationally compliant pharmaceutical supply chain security systems, we will continue delivering valuable insights to our life sciences clients, while Greg and John will allow us to reach other industries in need of this intelligence."
