Another senior executive leaves De La Rue

The mass departure of senior figures at De La Rue continues apace, with chief financial officer Helen Willis the latest to leave the company.

With immediate effect, Willis is stepping down from the position as CFO as well as giving up her seat on the board on the security printing and brand protection specialist.

De La Rue issued a profit warning last year amid a difficult period punctuated by the loss of the UK passport printing contract, an investor revolt and an investigation by the UK’s Serious Fraud Office.

Willis held the CFO role at De La Rue since April 2018, talking up the post following the resignation of Jitesh Sodha. She joins an exodus of top management at the company, including former chief executive Martin Sutherland – replaced by business turnaround specialist Clive Vacher last October – and long-serving chairman Philip Rogerson.

De La Rue said it had started the search for a successor to Willis and “is grateful for the commitment Helen has given to the company.”
