De La Rue hands Harding permanent CFO role
Staff reporter, 01-Oct-2020
De La Rue has confirmed that Rob Harding – who took on the chief financial officer (CFO) role at the firm on an interim basis in March – has taken up the role on a permanent basis.
Harding took up the role after the abrupt departure of former CFO Helen Willis in February, shortly after new chief executive Clive Vacher kicked off a turnaround drive at the ailing security printing and brand protection specialist.
The new CFO has also made his name as a turnaround specialist, having previously held CFO roles at Co-op Insurance, Swinton Insurance, Aviva and Standard Life. He has also been named to the board of directors at De La Rue.
“Rob’s wide ranging experience in finance within a number of large professional and financial businesses together with his depth of turnaround experience will be invaluable to us as we execute our plans and re-shape our business to meet both the short-term and long-term challenges we face as a company,” said Kevin Loosemore, De La Rue’s chairman.
