Keesing launches ID authentication system

Keesing Technologies has launched a new platform for identity document authentication called ID AuthentiScan.
The company claims that ID AuthentiScan is unique in the marketplace because it offers "extensive authentication functionality at expert level without requiring any specialist operating knowledge or skills".
After an ID document is placed on a scanner such as a passport reader, the system automatically performs up to 40 checks in a few seconds to immediately show whether or not the document is genuine and valid.
ID AuthentiScan can also be used to compare live document data to reference information from Keesing's ID document reference database if more authentication assurance is required, according to the company. The database provides access to more than 2,500 ID documents from over 200 countries and organisations.
The system also provides a screening tool, allowing the user to match the document bearer's personal details against multiple international sanctions lists, according to Keesing's website.
"With ID AuthentiScan, Keesing offers organisations, such as government bodies and financial institutions, a fully automated solution for authenticating ID documents while managing regulatory, financial and reputational risk at the same time," said the firm.
