Hungarian security pigments and dye specialist Luminochem has appointed Thomas Poe to represent the company in the US and develop new markets for the company's technologies.
First formed in 2008, Luminochem develops and supplies luminescent photoactive materials and markers for a range of applications, including security printing and brand protection. It focuses in particular on organic ultraviolet fluorescent security pigments and dyes, near infrared-absorbing materials and anti-Stokes (up-converter) pigments.
Poe joins Luminochem after many years of sales, marketing, technical, and lab experience in the covert security pigments, inks and coatings markets, most recently as owner of Secure Document Coatings, a consultancy advising clients in the sector.
Previously he was director of business development at Angstrom Technologies, another player in the security pigment category.
