Alpine Health, a US pharmaceutical distributor, has decided to implement an electronic pedigree system developed by rfXcel to pursue “a safer industry supply chain.”
rfXcel’s ePedigree Management system was selected for its “ease and flexibility” in interfacing with Alpine’s existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and “the minimal IT requirements in automating the Pedigree management process.”
The system is designed to help companies comply with state-level pedigree laws, which require trading partners to provide an authenticated transaction history for prescription drugs.
Based in Hamilton, Ohio, Alpine Health distributes pharmaceuticals to independent pharmacies in the Midwest and Northeast regions of the USA.
“Choosing rfXcel for our ePedigree needs will allow us to expand our portfolio of high volume products, providing a higher level of service to our customers,” said Hardik Panchal, manager, information technology at Alpine Health.
